What does UL-94 V0 certification mean?
The technopolymer used in AE-V0 components has passed the stringent UL-94 V (Vertical Burning) flammability tests, achieving the V0 classification, the highest level of fire performance.
During the UL-94 V test, a material sample is exposed to a direct flame in a vertical position. To achieve V0 classification, two fundamental conditions must be met:
Successful completion of these tests is certified by the so-called Yellow Card issued by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), confirming the material’s performance and reliability compared to standard technopolymers, which are generally classified as UL-94 HB (Horizontal Burning).
